Cloud Songs | Don Scott Macdonald & Jeffrey Beauchamp
Pamela Walsh Gallery is proud to present Cloud Songs, an exhibition of new paintings by Don Scott McDonald and Jeffrey Beauchamp—two artists attuned to both sight and sound, who offer lyrical interpretations of the landscape, where clouds, color, and light move like notes of music.
Don Scott McDonald, returning for his third exhibition with the gallery, draws on the vast horizons and dramatic skyscapes of Colorado to create imagined landscapes that are expansive, moody, and deeply atmospheric. His latest works push further into his search for serenity amid chaos—works that are immersive and meditative, shaped by his deep connection to music and a nuanced, sonic sensibility.
Jeffrey Beauchamp, in his gallery debut, channels the lush terrain and coastal light of Marin County, blending realism with imagination in expressive, playful gestures. A highly skilled realist, his compositions dance between traditional representation and vibrant, whimsical bursts of color—rainbows that feel both joyful and unexpected.
Both artists are lifelong musicians, and that sensibility resonates through their visual work—infusing it with rhythm, tone, and emotional depth. These are not fixed views of place, but shifting terrains—layered, open, and alive with the quiet music of the natural world.
