Code: Art 2025 Artist Talk with Josh Miller
Come by the gallery on October 17 at 6:45 pm, for an Artist Talk with Code: ART Artist Josh Miller. Miller will have his interactive installation out front of the gallery during the run of the festival.
Featured Installation: Time Stretched Thin
Time Stretched Thin invites participants to connect with the present moment, offering a playful yet thought-provoking exploration of time and movement. This installation isn’t just meant to be seen - it’s meant to be experienced, leaving viewers with a sense of wonder and a fresh perspective on the fleeting moments we share.
Imagine light as your brush and the darkness before you as your canvas. Step into the installation and begin creating by moving in front of a camera, where a custom slit-scan algorithm captures and transforms your motion - stretching and compressing it over time. The result: a fluid, ever-evolving tapestry of light and motion projected onto a large screen, where each movement becomes a luminous ribbon of color and form. Dance, gesture, and stillness blend into a living artwork where time itself becomes the medium.
